I. Core Moral Foundations
- All humans are to be treated humanely and with respect.
- All humans deserve to be treated equally, fairly, and justly.
- No person shall be discriminated against based on race, sex, gender, sexuality, disability, age, religion, or origin.
- One should have compassion and empathy toward all creatures.
- The freedoms of others are not limited by one’s own will or opinion.
- One should always stand up against bullies, loud and proud.
- We recognize that individual silence can become collective silence; therefore, we choose to speak out loudly against injustice.
- The strongest force in our world is that of the collective power of humans.
II. Truth, Integrity, and Accountability
- It is not permissible to knowingly lie. We believe in truthfulness in public office and official communications.
- When mistakes are made, one must take accountability and act to rectify wrongdoing.
- If one refuses accountability, they must be held accountable by others.
- Anyone with power over another shall be held to a higher standard — including politicians, police, and public officials.
III. Human Rights and Personal Liberties
- Each individual is entitled to the security of their own body.
- Each individual has the right to bodily autonomy.
- Humans have the right to safety and to protect themselves and their families.
- One should use weapons only in defense. We uphold a policy of non-aggression whenever possible, while recognizing self-defense and defense of others as basic rights.
- Individuals have a right to privacy in communications and personal data.
- Governments and corporations must not exploit personal data without consent.
IV. Justice and Due Process
- All people shall be held to the same legal standards.
- It is immoral to issue cruel and unusual punishments.
- All people are entitled to due process and fair legal representation.
- No one shall be punished without transparent and impartial judicial process.
- Government shall not engage in unreasonable or unprovoked search and seizure.
- Government shall not unlawfully seize personal property or finances.
- People cannot be unlawfully detained.
- Government must inform the immediate families of the location of detained individuals within 24 hours upon request.
V. Democratic Governance and Limits on Power
- The government is created to serve the best interests of the people.
- A government must be elected fairly and freely by the citizens of one’s home country.
- Elections must be transparent and verifiable by numerous parties.
- Politicians must rotate to limit corruption. Term limits are essential.
- Corporations and entities shall not have more legal power than individual human citizens.
- The influence of money must be limited in all forms of politics so that it does not overshadow individual human voices.
- Emergency powers must be limited, time-bound, and subject to oversight.
- No crisis justifies suspension of basic human rights.
- Individuals, society, and government shall operate within the Constitution — and where the Constitution fails to protect human rights, it must be amended democratically.
- Freedom of speech, freedom to protest, and the right to question authority belong to all individuals.
VI. Basic Human Needs and Social Responsibility
- All humans deserve to be fed.
- Humans deserve access to physiological necessities: food, shelter, warmth, breathing clean air, access to clean water, and sanitary conditions — including waste removal and necessary hygiene products.
- Safety needs are the shared responsibility of the individual, society, and government. All three are required to offer safety as a human right.
- Healthcare is a human right and must not place profit over the health of persons.
- Science shall be the basis for determining healthcare policy.
- Humans should encourage public contribution to better other humans.
- Hoarding resources damages society and the overall public good.
VII. Education, Knowledge, and Open Information
- Knowledge should not be limited. Censorship is unacceptable in any form.
- Humans deserve to know and understand the truth.
- We support education, transparency, and open information.
- All humans have the right to accessible, high-quality education.
- Education should develop critical thinking, not obedience.
- Public education must be protected from political or corporate capture and influence.
VIII. Economic Fairness and Collective Power
- Society functions best when wages benefit the most people.
- Economic systems should prioritize broad prosperity over extreme wealth concentration.
- The real power lies within the human collective and centers around public opinion, labor, production, and ethical spending.
- The power to change relies on protest, strikes, and boycotts.
IX. Environmental Stewardship
- Humans have a right to a clean, safe, and sustainable environment.
- Governments and industries must protect air, water, soil, and ecosystems.
- Short-term profit must not override long-term planetary health.
